Immunizations

Back-to-School Checklist: medical check-ups; immunizations; after-school programs; health insurance, uniforms, book bag, notebooks, other supplies^

As the world waits for a critical COVID-19 vaccine, many parents have forgotten or delayed other vaccinations and immunizations that are already out there, and they are just as important for you child’s health. When schools reopen, your child will only be able to return if he or she is up to date with his current vaccines. It’s also important for your children to get their annual well-child visit. The good news is that there are many places to go for free well-child visits and immunizations including the University of Miami Pediatric Mobile Clinic which offers free vaccinations by appointment. Children without up-to-date vaccines could be prevented from attending class and we want to make sure your child has a happy and healthy school year!

For free immunizations and well-child visits, select one of the following clinics of the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County, call 786.845.0550 to make an appointment, or visit their website.
